I Just Slate - July 2009 Job of the Month
Ashlar slate is a popular patterned concrete design. It combines a stone texture with different sized rectangularly-shaped tiles. It's a little more challenging to do as the stamps (the rubber matts that have the design) need to interlock together correctly. In this Lantana, TX, project we poured fresh concrete over the homeowner's existing patio, "capping it" and then extended the new patio further into his yard.
