Trowel Down

Trowel downs are freehand random effects troweled (material is pushed around using a flat steel handle) directly into the overlay material while it is still wet. It can be made to imitate stone surfaces while maintaining a relatively flat surface. As the process is quicker and uses less material than a traditional stamped overlay, it is generally a more economical option for those seeking a stone-like surface.

Trowel down overlays normally run between $3 - $6 per ft². Larger projects have a lower cost per square foot than smaller projects. We have a $1,400 minimum for our work which corresponds to around 250 ft² for interior floors and 275 ft² for exterior floors. We can do smaller areas; however the minimum price of $1,400 will apply.
