Concrete Countertops for Kitchens and Bathrooms

We installed these beautiful black concrete countertops with two inch tall edges for a condominium in Dallas, TX. To top it off, we also poured a large concrete kitchen island with a waterfall edge.

This project featured dark gray concrete countertops placed over a white porcelain apron style sink. Our Dallas homeowner loved the sharp edges over the sink and in the concrete window ledge overlooking the front lawn.

Though greys and blacks are very popular colors for concrete countertops, sometimes our clients area looking for something a little different as was the case with our Azle, TX homeowers who went with a flagstone brown and rounded edges for their kitchen.

These black concrete countertops fit in very well with the modern look our Dallas homeowners were trying to present in their recently renovated bathroom.

We replaced a split level granite countertop with an elegant, single piece concrete kitchen island. It included a knockout to flush mount a beautiful wood cutting board in Carrollton. Very clean lines all around.

These were a pair of natural gray bathroom concrete countertops that we installed in Arlington. They featured a two inch tall edge and all had undermount porcelain trough sinks.

We used a green slate pigment in these concrete countertops that we placed in a hotel lobby in Richardson. Its subtle greenish tint works very well with the cabinets.

These are natural gray kitchen countertops butted up against a beautiful raised wood bar in Dallas. Our homeowners went with a stainless steel double basin undermount sink and faucet.

Our Addison client was looking for a softer color that complemented the installed backsplash tiles on her kitchen wall. We all decided on using Dune, a beige cream color, that definitely works well with them.

These lovely black countertops really balance the off-white granite island countertop that our client had installed in her Grand Prairie home. You can see where the colors pull from each other – a match made in heaven.

Our McKinney, TX homeowner decided to mix and match two different design styles –  a little bit of vintage for the faucet combined with a little bit of  modern with these dark gray concrete countertops we installed.

These bathroom countertops headed up to Denton. Our client was enamored with the silver colored, hammered steel look for her undermount sinks. We were more than happy to install them along with the nickel plated faucet.

Concrete Countertops for Outdoor Kitchens and Grills

We’ll kick off this section with these elegant concrete countertops we installed for a client in Dallas who was looking for a low maintenance option for his outdoor kitchen. Concrete was an excellent choice.

This one was a little out there – location wise, not concept – in Godley, TX. These were natural gray countertops with one seam directly behind the larger grill where you won’t see it once the grill is installed.

We absolutely don’t have to do grays as you can see in this Southlake outdoor grill. Our clients went for a sandstone color that flows right into the surrounding stone. Excellent choice!

Every once in a while we’ll do something truly unique such as these beveled, 8″ tall, flush mounted edges for this grill concrete countertop we installed in an apartment complex in Dallas.

These were cast in place concrete countertops for a homeowner in Dallas. They featured two inch tall edges, black integral color, and three coats of sun and scratch resistant matte finish polyurethane. Just beautiful!

We didn’t actually pour these but our Aledo, TX homeowner asked us if we could polish these concrete countertops to expose the aggregate (stone) that is inside. We were more than happy to help.

By far one of our most intricate countertops, not only did it require assembling it like a jigsaw puzzle to get around all the columns and minimize seams, we were also asked to stain it a beautiful espresso color. Well worth the work!

Yes, we do a lot of work for apartment complexes, this one was in Fort Worth. They wanted a double grill setup in two different spots in the complex. That’s a lot of grilling! Concrete looks and works great for these applications.

It’s not always apartments, we installed these light gray countertops for a common area at SMU in Dallas. The maintenance guys installed the grill as soon as we finished, I guess they wanted to try them out right away!

This was a three level concrete countertop we placed for a client in Denton. It had a lower level for a “Green Egg”, the middle level for the typical grill and faucets plus a hole for a beer dispenser and finally the top bar level.

Sheer mass was the point in these natural gray concrete countertops featuring a four inch tall edge that we installed in yet another apartment complex in Dallas. This is what you call a “statement piece” and it really shows!

We got asked to push through this countertop rush job just two weeks before Christmas. It took a lot of coordination but we were able to complete it in time and they just loved the results. Natural gray with a 1.5″ tall edge. Well worth the effort.

Concrete Countertops for Bars and Restaurants

Our first project are these gorgeous, natural gray, cast in place concrete countertops that we installed for a brewery in Arlington. These had a three inch tall drop down lip with a lowered countertop for anyone in a wheelchair.

We do a lot of work in Dallas. These dark gray countertops were installed in a newly built restaurant and bar. They featured a stainless steel integrated drink rail and an elegant, modern looking troweled finish.

These natural gray concrete countertops featured a three inch drop down ledge along their entire perimeter. We placed these in a bar area for a hotel being built in Frisco.

One of the strengths of concrete is its how easy it can be shaped. If you can build a mold, you can pour it right in. These curved concrete countertops we placed in The Colony, TX really showcase this ability.

The most challenging aspect of this project was not the build itself with all the drop down edges and overhangs.  No, it was the fact that it was at the DFW International Airport and all the security we had to pass just to install them.

This freshly remodeled Fort Worth bar needed an elegant, three inch tall, black concrete countertop that also had a lowered level for their wheelchair bound clients. We delivered!

Taco Tuesdays! Yep, this was another bar/restaurant combo where you could cozy up to the bar for some spirits and order up some tacos to help it all go down better. We installed a dark gray, two inch tall countertop for this one.

Concrete is a very popular choice for Mexican restaurants. We think it’s the combination of a clean, natural look, ease of maintenance, and the more organic feel it has compared to say, granite. It’s just a warmer look.
